Regional rootstock data

Introduction

Since 2004, the Board has employed a Rootstock Project Manager to collate information on the performance of vines grafted on phylloxera-resistant rootstocks - using data from new and existing trials and commercial plantings in South Australia as well as Australian and international literature.

This section provides a summary of the results from the data collection work that was undertaken in five regions in South Australia between 2004 and 2007. Conclusions from this work have been incorporated into regional rootstock recommendations documented in the Board's 2007 publication: Grapevine Rootstocks - a guide to selection and management for South Australian vineyards.
